California Department of Forestry and Fire Protection, Information and Data Center
The California Fish and Game’s Department of Forestry and Fire Protection (FRAP) contains a useful set of downloadable natural resource data for California. Among other data available are projections of future urban growth, maps of fire perimeters and fire threat, and a frequently used map of landcover for California that is derived from a variety of sources and is considered to be the best current statewide landcover map. |

| The California Environmental Information Clearinghouse (CEIC) uses the CERES Catalog as an online directory for reporting and discovery of information resources for California. Participants include cities, counties, utilities, state and federal agencies, private businesses and academic institutions that have spatial and other types of data resources. The Catalog has been developed through a collaborative effort with the California Geographic Information Association, California Environmental Resources Evaluation System, and the Federal Geographic Data Committee. |
