Overview of CTP 2025 and 2030 Update - Ann Mahaney, Office of State

Planning

General understanding of existing CTP goals and policies


Roles and Responsibilities - Nathan Smith, Chief Office of State Planning

The Policy Advisory Committee requested that Caltrans develop draft PAC Roles and Responsibilities Guidelines for the next meeting. The PAC will serve in an advisory capacity for the development of the California Transportation Plan 2035.

CTP 2035 Timeline - Del Deletetsky, Office of State Planning

The timeline was presented to provide the PAC an understanding of the CTP 2035 Timeline of project due dates and tasks.

Proposed Scope & Focus Areas - Pam Korte, Chief, State Plans Branch

PAC was provided a Proposed Scope of California Transportation Plan 2035 for discussion and comment, and this scope includes some of the initial comments from US EPA.

Web Portal - Laurie Waters, Office of State Planning

Overview of web portal for the CTP 2035 update and request to set up accounts.

Futures Symposium Recap - Mary Madison, UCD Facilitator

PAC was provided a summary or synthesis of the Symposium Nuggets that were heard at the California Transportation Futures Symposium.

BucketStrategy - PAC Member Participation

PAC input on how to address issues/ideas raised for CTP 2035 “Bucket” Exercise.

Supplemental Information / Evaluation:

Here is the compilation of the supplemental information on the evaluation forms following the meeting. An item of interest is that 10 out of 11 support working on priority issues outside the main meetings, which shows tremendous enthusiasm, interest and willingness to help address CTP focus areas. There is also strong emphasis on collaboration and a high interest an interest in clarification on exact roles and responsibilities for the PAC.
